March meeting, 2020

The Black Canyon Macintosh User Group meets this month on March 12th at 7 p.m. Join us at our new meeting location! For the foreseeable future, we'll be meeting in the Colorado Mesa University building, at 245 S Cascade Ave in Montrose, room 100. You can enter from either the main entrance to the Montrose Library (then go left into the CMU building), or use the main CMU entrance on Cascade Ave. They often lock the door at 7, so don't be late!

For our March meeting, we will feature an explanation of the many flavors of "two-factor authentication", also known as "two-step verification". More and more services are requiring some form of "2FA", and it can be a confusing thing to set up and navigate for the uninitiated. There are also pitfalls in the process, ones we should all be aware of.

We'll have our usual troubleshooting discussion for anyone who may be having some sort of problem or issue with their computer as well. Please come and share your experiences, or simply enjoy an informative discussion about all things Macintosh, and beyond…
