The Black Canyon Macintosh User Group meets this month on September 9th at 7 p.m. Due to the current surge in the Delta variant of COVID, our September meeting will be held via the Zoom online meeting platform. Details, and the link to join the meeting, are below:

It's September, and that means it's time for the Black Canyon Mac User Group to resume our meetings! This month will feature one of our popular Q&A sessions, so gather up those nagging questions you've been saving all summer. We will also have coverage of lots of current Apple news, including the latest operating systems for Macs (Monterey) and iDevices (iOS 15), which are coming later this fall.

We'll have our usual troubleshooting discussion for anyone who may be having some sort of problem or issue with their computer as well. Please come and share your experiences, or simply enjoy an informative discussion about all things Macintosh, and beyond…

The Black Canyon Macintosh User Group meets this month on May 13th at 7 p.m. Due to the ongoing pandemic, our April meeting will be held as an online meeting. Details, and the link to join the meeting, are below:



Our May meeting is going to begin with an overview of the many new products that Apple announced at their "Spring Loaded" event on April 20th. The event was jam-packed with info regarding everything from a completely new line of iMacs running Apple's proprietary M1 processor, to the latest iPad Pro models that will now run on the same M1 chip that their other new products feature, as well as several other new product announcements. 
After that, we will again ask our members to offer up any of their favorite tips & tricks that they've discovered in the course of using their various Apple devices.

We'll also have our usual troubleshooting discussion for anyone who may be having some sort of problem or issue with their computer as well. Please come and share your experiences, or simply enjoy an informative discussion about all things Macintosh, and beyond…

For our April meeting we're going to try something new. First, your usual host, John Clark, will offer up a few tips & tricks that you might not be aware in using your Mac, iPhone or iPad. Then, we're asking each of you to come prepared to share something you've learned in the last year that's improved your workflow on one of your devices, or that has simply brought a smile to your face whenever you use it, because you love having learned it! After all, isn't that the essence of why we love computing?

First, member Richard Cox will present an overview of VPN (Virtual Private Network) technology, as well as cover some specific options for our members to try. Next, we'll have a discussion of the latest security issues in the Apple/Mac world, not to mention the internet as a whole. It continues to be a wild and wacky world out there in terms of best security practices on all our devices, and we'll do our best to cover all the latest news coming from security experts.
